Family information: A Reverend's daughter, she married Dr John Beddoe, a physician, in 1858.
Additional Information: Agnes sat on the committee for the Bristol wing of the NSWS for most of the rest of her life, alongside her role on the executive committee of the NUWSS. During the 1880s, she travelled around the country giving speeches, and was known as an 'eloquent and moving orator'. Her husband was also a supporter of women's suffrage. He was a vice president of the Men's League for Women's Suffrage (MLWS) in Bristol and subscribed to the WSPU in 1907. Agnes also donated to the WSPU in 1909 and 1910.
Other Suffrage Activities: Agnes was involved in campaigning to promote the Married Women's Property Act and was a member of the Bristol Women's Liberal Association. In 1889 she founded Mrs Beddoe's Working Women's Dwelling at 20 Bishop Street, Bristol, providing fully furnished rooms at a cheap rent. By 1896, she was also a Poor Law Guardian.
