Family information: Father was an artist and socialist.
Additional Information: Patricia (as she liked to be known) was a founding member of the Liverpool branch of the WSPU and became an organiser there. She was arrested on numerous occasions, most often for taking part in deputations to the House of Commons in London or causing 'disturbances' at politcians' meetings. She was arrested and released without charge from the deputation that became known as 'Black Friday' in 1910 because of police violence against suffragettes. Patricia did not take part, it would appear, in any more violent, militant activity. However, she spoke at lots of suffrage meetings and was described as a brilliant speaker. She also sold suffrage newspapers.
Other Suffrage Activities: Patricia was a member of the Independent Labour Party (ILP).
