Additional Information: Louisa likely joined the WSPU early on, when it had no branches in London. She started a branch in Kensal Rise and organised a meeting in Kensington Town Hall, which resulted in the formation of the Kensington WSPU branch. She also helped to organise the Hammersmith branch and spent some time in Somerset doing propaganda work. Louisa was arrested in 1908 while taking part in a 'raid' on the House of Commons, and was sentenced to six weeks in prison. She was arrested again in 1909 for taking part in the deputation to the House of Commons but was never sentenced. Ill health prevented her from becoming further embroiled in WSPU militant activity and she emigrated to Australia in 1911.
