Family information: Daughter of a Vice Admiral. Married Thomas Webster, a law lecturer at Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1863.
Additional Information: In 1871, Augusta was a member of the first executive committee of the Central Committee of the NSWS and was also a member of the London NSWS. In 1880, she spoke at the Grand Demonstration organised by the Central Committee of the NSWS and signed the 1884 Letter from Ladies to Members of Parliament, asking for women heads of households to enfranchised.
Other Suffrage Activities: In 1879, Augusta stood as an independent candidate in Chelsea for the London School Board, and was elected sitting for three years. After a break, she was re-elected for a further three years in 1885. During that time, she supported the introduction of technical education in elementary school.
