Further Information:

Family information: Daughter of Isabel Goldsmid. Related to the Goldsmids, who also signed the 1866 suffrage petition. Married Count Salamon Henri d'Avigdor in 1840.

Additional Information: Other than signing the petition, Rachel does not seem to have taken a public role in the votes for women movement.

Other Suffrage Activities: Rachel was clearly much influenced by her Jewish faith. She was at some point president of the Ladies Committee of the Jews Deaf and Dumb Home; honorary secretary of the West End Charity; and committee member of the Jewish Board of Guardians and the West End Sabbath School.
